Everything changed. I will never forget the confusion, the questions, the uncertainty. March 2020 to be more accurate. The pandemic shut down is when things changed for me, my family and my mindset. I wasn’t alone. As a working mom my priorities changed. Yes, contributing to the household was good, but making sure our family was good and safe was more important. I became one of the statistics being reported across the world…nearly 1.8 women dropped out of the workforce due to covid (according to one source) It was the craziest feeling in the world. I have never quit work to stay home with our son, but it was something that myself and my husband felt was best.

Myself and my husband are coming up on our 1 year wedding anniversary and we have been together over 6 years. I have an almost 10 year old son that is not biologically his, but he treats him as if he is and it’s the most refreshing and wonderful joy I have as a mother. I call myself a boy-mom…I am in a house of all boys (including the Frenchie!).

I started my mom blog, The Expressive Mom, when I began my SAHM journey, to connect with other women and mommas (as I call them). I use my platform to uplift, support and encourage others, including myself, to continue being strong for our family. I love posting funny content, trying new trends (even though I feel too old for them) and watching women support other women. I am also growing my online store with momma-inspired merch. Since starting my blog I have felt that my purpose is much bigger than sometimes I even can see. I’ve had so many women and moms open up to me and share their stories and love it.
