Highway Women
Born in LA raised in Chicago, Brenda started her career as a teen in beauty pageants. She caught the eye of a talent agent record executive with her singing performance in Spanish after winning Ms. Teen LA in the 90’s.
Brenda was signed to Rodven Records under the Universal Music Group label to be the exclusive model for their ad campaign appearing on CD covers and commercial spots worldwide for the Latin market. Due to the success of her likeness her popularity grew during the campaign she was offered a record deal by the label and trained by the best music producers, choreographers and vocal coach.

At this point she formed her first girl band “Banda Mitotera” and recorded 3 albums under this label. She transitioned to Brenda y sus Koquetas under new management with a total of 6 albums she produced and co-wrote her last album titled “Contigo Esta Noche” touring alongside major artists such as Selena, Marc Anthony, Celia Cruz and other notable Latin artists. In the US, Latin America, and Mexico.
In the summer of 2001 at the Carnival International in Manzanillo Brenda was named Mexico’s Queen of Cumbias with over 50,000 people in attendance. She also received a people’s choice award in Mexico City that same year sparked from her growing popularity on the radio and international tours.
After singing for almost a decade she transitioned into acting and became a known public figure on networks such as Telemundo and Univision. In 2003 she crossed over into mainstream and appeared on “The Talent Agency” on the WB network and won a spokes model award. At the same time she continued to appear in ad campaigns for national brands such as Anheuser Busch, Kohls, and Sears to name a few.
By 2005 she made her American big screen debut in the film “The Lost City” directed by and staring Andy Garcia along with Dustin Hoffman and Bill Murray. Later that year, she was picked to be the lead star of Univision’s Network top 5 Nielsen rated show in all of Latin America “Jugando Al Amor.”
Brenda decided to take a break after over a decade of touring and a total of 15 years in the business to focus on personal growth and starting a family. She was married in 2007. During the last decade, she has focused on more business-related ventures while still keeping her philanthropic roots.
She took the initiative to start her own division in the mobility space with a focus on providing free cellular service and devices to lower income and homeless families throughout the Los Angeles area. Her outreach also extended to the many homeless families in the LAUSD school district.
Over the last several years Brenda has decided to step back into the limelight appearing in several commercials as well as staring in an upcoming TV series, hosting and producing a weekly radio show where she uses her platform to support celebrity organizations giving back and nonprofit charities empowering the youth. She recently won the women of achievement Mrs. Elite California pageant in 2018. However, her most amazing recent journey was the one that found her in Assisi Italy this last December. Here she received the prestigious award of LA Dame Di Pace (knighthood award of peace) from the Pope’s order of the Knights of Malta in Assisi Italy. She was nominated for this award for all of her charitable and humanitarian work throughout the years as well as through her close work with the “Love is the Solution” non-profit group which charters “Peace based education” in regions where hatred is the main curriculum.
Although her story has many amazing accomplishments it has only begun. This next chapter in her life should be filled with joy, glamour, and many blessings!
