Women of color voices have been silenced. We are proud to give them a platform in our magazine and on our website. Minority and Women owned businesses need to be nurtured and have accessible resources to help build and grow their business.
On a recent interview, I was asked if women had made advancements in Business and CEOs of corporations or if we still have a lot of work to do. I was stumped by this question because I know for myself personally as a woman of color and networking with other women like me – the struggle is real and on-going.
This is a question that cannot simply be answered as the collective. There are women CEOs and we have made strides, but some women have to work a lot harder than most to get the acknowledgement they deserve. This is why I am extremely excited to allow the women in this edition to talk about their struggles and their success.
