Can you hear me now? Reasons why you should start listening to your intuition

Khatija Rahman never fails to prove that daughters can carry the legacy of their fathers.
Salomé Robert-Murphy is a British actress from London, now based in New York City. She has recently graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Drama, where she studied at the notable Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and Stonestreet Studios.
Having grown up with two actor grandparents, Salomé has been exposed to the performing arts from an early age and knew that she wanted to pursue the same path. Back home in London she trained as an actor for several years, attending a performing arts high school and studying Ballet at The Royal Academy of Dance before getting into Tisch and moving to New York City.
Currently, Salomé is soon be seen in HBO Max’s reboot of ‘Gossip Girl’, Irving Pictures’ feature film ‘Hell Wanted,’ and the independent short already selected for multiple film festivals, ‘Sell It To Me A Different Way.’ Aside from having kept busy with these many roles, Salomé was determined to create even more opportunities for herself amidst the pandemic. Working as actor calls for a lot of time off and in between projects. Eager to fill this time with productivity, Salomé created her very own platform, The Self Series.
She tells us, “with the lack of productions right now, we can’t be waiting for jobs to come to us. The aim of The Self Series is to make content for ourselves by ourselves. In writing for ourselves we can create the most real characters because we know what strengths we can play and what experiences we can draw from.”
This web series is a vehicle for up-and-coming actors to create new content and promote themselves. Salomé wanted to connect with and help out fellow emerging actors who were all confronted with the lack of work brought on by the pandemic. She shares that “The Self Series is not only a fun opportunity to work with new and old collaborators, but it also allows us to keep up our training and showcase our work.”
Keep up with Salomé for her exciting upcoming projects and head over to YouTube to check out her platform, The Self Series.
