Hafsa Munir

My name is Hafsa Munir, I am a model and an up-and-coming actress from a Thai and Indian descent, based currently in KL, Malaysia. I graduated university a few years back with a degree I wasn’t very committed or happy.

That’s when I tried giving a hand in modelling with small gigs here and there. It was a challenge at first, I was met with dead-ends. But I was happy and I knew then, that this was what I wanted. I am the title holder of Miss Supermodel Universe Malaysia 2020, the 4^th runner up in Supermodel Universe, and was previously the 2^nd runner up of Ms PinkLady Asia.

I absolutely adore travelling, I also play badminton and volunteer in refugee centres and charity events during my free time. I have played a major role in Townmall- a Malaysian movie and minor roles in Tamil and Bollywood films, Sathuranka Vettai 2 and Anjaan- respectively.  I’ve also appeared in many TV commercials for- KFC, Black Whale, Alha Alfa Cosmetics and San Francisco Coffee, to name a few and in magazines such as Cosmopolitan magazine and Majalah Jelita magazine.  

Modelling and acting have always been a huge dream of mine since my childhood days I want to inspire others just as actresses and actors that I’ve seen from my childhood have inspired me and have got me to where I am today.  I’ve had many challenges come across my way. Even now, I’m burdened every so often.  

The motivation and cheers I’ve received from myself, my friends, families and peers have got me going and I can never be more thankful. One of my inspirations is Angelina Jolie, she’s everything I admire and more.

The way she’s a voice for the unfortunate, how she spreads awareness and all that she has accomplished. She’s a true icon. And so, I, myself want to use my platform to help young girls out there to take a stance and pursue their dreams and also to prove that you can be what you dream of because with enough effort anything and everything is possible since that is what I relied on to get where I am today. Lastly, my prayers are out to everyone due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I want everyone to know that there is always hope to be found. I hope that everyone takes care and stays safe.
