Should you return the ring after a broken engagement?
Making the Most of a Long-Distance Relationship
Maya Angelou once said, “All great artists draw from the same resource: the human heart, which tells us that we are all more alike than we are unalike.” The very best things in life are both seen and felt with the heart. When it comes to your relationships, remember to listen to what you are feeling.
If someone is meant to be in your life, you will know. You will know by the way they treat you and the way they treat others. The right person will love you exactly as you are and understand the importance of maintaining trust. If you are constantly giving up parts of yourself to make others whole, know that you deserve the love you extend.
The thing about relationships to remember is that you will never find someone who is perfect. If you keep your expectations unreasonably high, you could miss the great people in front of you. Accept others for who they are, but don’t forget who you are.
Safeguard your heart and learn to love yourself. When you learn to love yourself, you will learn to love others. There is beauty in knowing what is right for you.
